Are my images uploaded?

No. Compression runs on a canvas in your browser, so your images never leave your device.

Which format gives the smallest files?

WebP usually gives the smallest files at the same quality, and all modern browsers support it.

Why is my PNG not smaller?

PNG is lossless, so the quality slider does not apply. Convert to WebP or JPG, or reduce the width.
